Not theoretically blind bob? *sigh* sadly I doubt anyone will get that reference.
ahahahha,
the game is fun.
Sadly the reference went way over my head. Me not smart.
He lives on!
The reference was from a video game called Dreamfall: The Longest Journey which takes place in two worlds; one of advanced science, and one of magic. A girl from the scientific workd is transported to the magical world. One of the tertiary characters she meets is Theoretically blind bob, a seemingly blind begger lounging out front of an inn. Turns out he's only "theoretically blind", due to a magical accident which could have rendered him blind "theoretically" when he was but a wee lad. Were I in a place where I could do so, I'd like the scene for you because it's actually really humerous. Writing and voice acting are top notch in this game series. it's one of those I wish the blind could play because it is that good.
Reminds me of the article I had to type on this blind guy named Bob, who robbed banks. It's supposed to be true.
A magical accident. *grin*
Sara, who was this interesting blind thief?
Sounds like a cool game series. I'll have to check that out.
The games are, in order "The Longest Journey", "Dreamfall: The Longest Journey" and "Dreamfall Chapters". All three most definetly have lets plays on Youtube, and all three are literally packed full of visually impaired friendly dialog. Characters are very well developed, and the writing is witty and interesting. Pluts the series as a whole has one hell of an intricate story.
Blind Bob would walk into a bank, and use his white cane. He had enough sight, that he could see where he was going, without his cane.
So he'd get up to the Teller, and have a note that said he had a gun, and wanted all the money in her til.
After the money was given to him, he'd calmly fold his cane up, and hit the door, leave the bank, and get to the "Getaway Driver," he hired.
From the article, the story was apparently true. And like most criminals, he was finally caught. However, he said he still has a lot of money, and when he does leave prison, he'll have no worries.
Apparently, he is legally blind, with RP, and used his loss of vision to his own advantage.
We typed this article for practice. Me and my 2 friends, joked for over 2 months, that that's what we wanted to do for a living. We weren't serious, though.
And if I tried that stunt, I'd fall on my patted rump, before I got to the teller. Besides, if I need something, I can ask for help. That's more honest and honorable than stealing.
Anyway, at age 19, it was a really funny story.
Blessings In Christ,
Sarah
roflflflflflflfl to the name reference! I didn't know that! Anyways, yeah, it's fun.
It is amusing, but gets boring after a while. I do have fun with it when I play though. :)
I love this game lol.
